YOU'VE as much chance of finding Nessie as watching the Prime Minster

, Gordon Brown, winningthe caber tossing at this year's Highland Games

(I for one would pay to see Gordon tossing thecaber lol).

Well, that's according to bookies who've doubled the odds against

anyone provingher existenceto 500-1 to mark the 75th anniversary

of the famous "Surgeon's Photograph".

The black andwhite image, printed on April 24, 1934, in the Daily Mail,

seemed to show the head and neck of an unknown creature craning out

of the water.Since then, thousands of locals and tourists from around

the world have tried in vain to prove or disprove Nessie'sexistence.

Now, after so long with no firm answer to the mystery, online bookmaker

McBookie.com has decided to double the odds on Nessie's existence

being proven. But Willie Cameron, director of Loch Ness Marketing,

has encouraged Nessie hunters not to lose heart.

He said: "From my point of view, the possibility of a firm sighting of the monster is greater than ever this year. This has been our busiest Easter in living memory on the loch, and with all the tourists around, someone is bound to get a firm sighting."I think all the signs are pointing towards an early sighting of the monster this year."And a spokesperson for Ladbrokes pointed out that Nessie is still more likely to be discovered than Inverness's home team Caley Thistle winning the SPL next season – with odds sitting at around 2000-1.
