Tibetan Buddist seeks Nessie

Peace, meditation and... the Loch Ness Monster
By Helen Bushnell
WORLD famous Nessie is set to share her home with a centre for world peace and health, it was revealed this week. The shores of Loch Ness will be the location for the centre which will attract visitors from all over the globe who want to "find a retreat from the stresses of our hectic 21st century". Plans for the project were announced on Monday by a Tibetan Buddist, who told how Loch Ness was chosen partly because of his interest in the search for the Highlands’ legendary monster. The proposals, which could also include a soup kitchen being run in Inverness city centre to feed those in need, were revealed by meditation master Lama Yeshe Losal Rinpoche during a five-day Highland tour.
