Raptor Whale ?

New Discoveries and Lake Monsters

A team led by Egyptian scientists have dug up a 43 million-year-old fossil in the Sahara Desert in Egypt of a now-extinct amphibious four-legged whale.

The authors of the study say that this creature had "unique features of the skull" and that its "mandible suggest a capacity for more efficient oral mechanical processing. In other words, these walking whales had a "strong raptorial feeding style.""We discovered how fierce and deadly its powerful jaws are capable of tearing a wide range of prey ... this whale was a god of death to most of the animals that lived in its area," Abdullah Gohar, one of the scientists, told Insider.

The new whale is called Phiomicetus anubis, which the scientists named in part after Anubis, the canine-headed Egyptian god associated with mummification and the afterlife. It was likely a top predator at the time, similar to what a killer whale is today.

Kentucky WereWolf?

Bearzilla or WereWolf?

It is reported there are werewolves in the state of Kentucky. The state has plenty of food available for wild beasts including deer,  turkey and a large  free-ranging elk herd. Kentucky has plenty of remote areas and claims  the world’s longest cave system.

In 1944 in the rural parts of the state, called  the “Gateway” region a werewolf sighting was reported and  nicknamed the “Gateway Werewolf“.

They are also called Bearzillas. The first sighting was by an elderly man in  Nicholas County in 1972. However some say its been around since the 1940s. owever some say it has been around since the 1940s.

The name “Bearzilla” stuck because it looked like a bear crossed with a wolf . Eye-witness accounts described it as six to seven ( approx 2 metres) feet tall with  white or grey fur.It is said to have the body of a bear, human-like hands, claw-like nails, and the face, snout, and fangs of a wolf.A cast of its paw print is said to exist. The last known sighting occurring in 1989.

Then this article appeared on 20 February 2020   :

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8024859/Boy-13-killed-animal-attack-officials-dont-know-creature-killed-him.html

“A Kentucky teen died on Tuesday after being attacked by a 'canine-type' creature police have yet to identify. Kentucky State Police were called to a home in the Emmalena community in Knott County around 6pm on Tuesday following a report of an animal attack on a 13-year-old boy. His body was found on a mountainside behind the residence and Knott County Coroner Corey Watson pronounced him dead from suspected injuries stemming from an animal attack”

It was thought to be an attack by wild dogs .Apart from the sadness at the loss of a young life the word werewolf was uttered. Could Bearzilla have returned?  If you are about in the rural areas of Kentucky keep your eyes peeled and keep safe.

Loch Lubnaig Creature

Loch Lubnaig Monster

Loch Lubnaig (Lùbnaig means crooked in Gaelic). is a small freshwater loch near Callander in the Scottish Highlands. It is part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

The loch is quite shallow nearly two-thirds being under 50 feet (15 m) in depth. The loch may be considered into two halves, defined  at the entrance of the Ardchillarie burn, where the bottom shallows and separates two principal deep depressions. The deepest part of the loch at 146 feet (45 m) is centrally located in the depression. There are two other depressions in which the depth exceeds 100 feet (30 m).So deep enough to hide a creature. Wild fish in the loch include Salmon, Perch and Brown Trout. So a good food supply.

Many locals believe in the loch monster called Lubhi a smaller distant cousin of Nessie. Eye witnesses claim to have seen small humps appearing on the surface of Loch Lubnaig. It is not unusual to see parked cars in lay-bys with tourists pointing cameras convinced they spotted something on the surface of the loch. The steep mountain slopes add to the magical feel of the loch.

Loch Lomond in the same national park also claims to have a monster.

Loch Lomond is second only to Loch Ness in volume of water. For years there have been reports by residents living near the loch of a strange creature seen in the water. Some eyewitnesses describe the creature as being like the Loch Ness monster, a plesiosaur like creature, others say it looks like a large crocodile. Read rest here:

Could they be the same creature moving overland between lochs in search of food? Or could they be two distinctly separate creatures ,one crocodile like, one humped? What do you think? Comments welcome but please remember all comments go to a moderator so may take time to appear.
