Polar sea spiders grow bigger than their equatorial brethren.

With eight spindly legs, a minimalist body, and long proboscis, sea spiders look like something from the fever dream of an arachnophobic science fiction author. But sea spiders are very real, and they live all over the world. And in the dark, cold waters of the polar oceans, sea spiders grow big, huge—their legs spanning the width of your face.Formally known as pycnogonids, sea spiders are a primitive group of marine arthropods. They’re not technically spiders. Most often, sea spiders are small, cryptic creatures.Yet in the Arctic Ocean and Southern Ocean, sea spiders grow huge. But they’re not the only ones that do. The polar oceans are awash in creatures of unusual size, including copepods, echinoderms, and certain mollusks that grow larger than their more equatorial relatives—a phenomenon called “polar gigantism.”

New sighting of Lake Norman monster?

Park Ranger and Clerk Spot Nessie-Like Creature in North Carolina

Ted Hill, a 42-year-old man who claims to be a park ranger working in the area, told Cryptozoology News he was at Lake Norman on Dec. 21 when he saw the strange animal eating a duck.

“I was looking out for a beach,” said Hill. “Then a duck was yanked under and a huge animal rose up,” he added.
Hill says the sighting lasted about two minutes and that the creature looked like the “Loch Ness Monster”.
“It was smaller, 12 feet long.”

How Nessie might swim?

200-year-old fossil mystery resolved

Scientists have reconstructed how an ancient reptile swam in the oceans at the time of the dinosaurs.Computer simulations suggest the plesiosaur moved through the water like a penguin, using its front limbs as paddles and back limbs for steering.The creature's swimming gait has been a mystery since bones of the first known specimen were dug out of a Dorset cliff 200 years ago.The plesiosaur was discovered by the fossil hunter Mary Anning in 1821.At the time even the name dinosaur had not been invented. A scientific paper unveiling Anning's find a few years later raised the question of how the marine creature swam, given its unusual pairs of wing-like flippers.The debate has continued until today, with a computer simulation based on a Jurassic fossil specimen providing evidence in favour of penguin-like motion.

Chupacabra in California ?

ORANGE COUNTY — A California resident said she saw a “small man-like creature” on Ortega highway 74 and that it attacked a man living in the area.

Amber, who provided a last name but was omitted for anonymity purposes, said she was heading to Lake Elsinore from work when she drove upon the creature back in May.
“It was raining and I turned my brights on,” she told Thomas Marcum. “It was in the middle of the road and turned its body in my direction.”
The small humanoid then reportedly ran across the road and disappeared in the woods. The sighting lasted 10 seconds, she explained.Amber said the creature was about 1 or 2 feet tall and that it was “dark colored like the trees”.

“There have been recent reports of the Chupacabra in California, Texas, Miami, and throughout Mexico. One of the first attacks in the U.S. was in Tuscon, Arizona where Billy Nubian's two goats were attacked by a creature in the middle of the night. He described it as a large "ratlike" creature, which when spotted, let out an "unhuman shriek" and ran away.
In Baja California, a dog was found with two puncture marks in the neck. In Miami, there was apparently a bloodbath when 69 farm animals were killed in one night. Throughout the countryside are reports of dead animals with the puncture marks in their necks. Elizabeth Saavedra claimed she was attacked by a chupacabra in the middle of the night.”

So am area of strangeness but as for Chupacabra ,the jury is still out on that one.

The Ahool sighted?

Almada resident Pedro Roque told Cryptozoology News on Sunday that he and his three friends were exploring a nearby forest in late August when the unidentified winged creature showed up.
“I and another friend heard a noise above. It looked like a large flying animal, perhaps a giant bat,” Roque explained.
The sighting reportedly lasted only a few seconds.
“Only a great flying black figure with wings. It looks a bit like a giant bat.”
Roque said he and his friends had never seen anything like it before. Large bats, such as the endangered species Acerodon jubatus, also known as the golden-capped fruit bat, are not endemic to Portugal.

Could it have been an Ahool?

The Ahool is a legendary giant bat. It is named because of its distinctive call ahooool. It was reported in the rainforests of Java. It is described as having an ape-like face with large dark eyes, large claws on its forearms and a body covered in grey fur. It is said to have a wingspan of 10 feet (3 metres), it’s flattened forearms supporting its leathery wings. It has reported as being seen squatting on the forest floor, and appeared to be the size of a small child , about 4 feet(1.1 metre) in height. The Ahool’s habits are to spend it's days in waterfall caves, while it spends nights skimming across the jungle waterways scooping up fish with large claws located on the top of it's forearms.

What is a witch? A witch uses nature ,herbs, crystals and so on and the power of the  mind to change things using talismans, spells and influence. Do they still exist? The modern witch can be a hedge witch ,who works alone or part of a coven. They can be male or female, pagan or wiccan ,voodoo,  in fact the variety of witches and beliefs is as great as any other religion. It is a type of religion or a way of life.
The old  witches, the wise women,used herbal medicines and psychology ,before it was called psychology, to heal and influence. The power of the  mind is the greatest magic. A person can make a voodoo doll of you and say they have stuck a pin in your right arm. You may scoff and ignore it but if you have the slightest doubt in your  mind, it will play  on your  mind and you will find your arm hurting. That is a simple example but it is basically how voodoo works ,the effect on the  mind causes the illness to happen.
A modern witch can use the internet.There are spells online, covens that can be joined and ingredients for sale.There are forums to discuss working of spells and what will be best for an outcome.
.Serious witches respect nature,the seasons and the earth.They strive to do good. "Do what thy wilt but harm none" is often quoted.
So are there white witches and black witches? If you believe in magic and it's practice you take a choice to do good, serve others or do evil ,be self serving.In reality most practitioners
have a foot in both camps because sometimes bad things need to happen to bad people.
So do witches exist? Certainly they do in great variety but they are not the broomstick riding ,crackling hags of folktales.  They are modern men and women who chose to follow a different path from organised religions.
Do spells work? Sometimes it appears they do.Is it coincidence or power of the  mind? You will have to decide that for yourself. On all hallows eve they say the veil between worlds is thin and the ancestors draw close, magic is stronger and works better. Maybe try a spell for yourselves and see if it works .
