Fallen branches 'could explain Loch Ness Monster sightings'

Fallen trees and branches from a woodland could be a cause for recent sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, a conservation charity has suggested.The Woodland Trust said deadfall washed out by rivers from Urquhart Bay Wood could explain a recent report of something emerging from the loch.The trust said the lochside wood was a "Nessie spawning ground".Previous explanations for the monster have included circus elephants being exercised in the waters.

Tales of dragons in Borneo

Hundreds of years ago, eight children were taken from a village in Borneo - by "dragons". What were these terrifying beasts?

Several centuries ago, a group of Borneo natives left their villages and headed deep into the jungle, searching for a home away from the Dutch colonialists who had begun spreading across their island. Eventually, they found a nice spot in the lowland rainforests near the mountains in Borneo's centre. They built houses and cultivated crops, and caught fish from the Burak river. All was well. Then children began vanishing.

One at a time, the kids disappeared, leaving behind baffled and frantic adults. This happened eight days in a row. Was it the work of a forest ghost, or jungle nomads, or a big carnivore like a clouded leopard? To find out, the villagers set a trap and baited it with another child, sacrificing one more life to stop the slaughter.

The creature that finally emerged from the river was huge, limbless and covered in scales. It was a snake, but one so overgrown they called it a dragon.

    Recording was made by cryptozoologists Katy Elizabeth and Dennis Hall

    It was captured using a hydrophone system that monitors echolocation

    Ms Elizabeth claims the clicking sounds made in the recording are evidence of an underwater creature

    She believes it is Champ - a sea monster living in Lake Champlain, Vermont

    Since 1609 there have been more than 600 sightings of the beast

    Champ has been dubbed the American Loch Ness Monster

Tree planter Richard Collis captured this amazing video on his iPhone after he spotted something unusual while driving alongside the loch last week. He said: " I was travelling along the side of Loch Ness, saw something out the corner of my eye, pulled over and went down to the Loch and took some photographs.

A bit strange that he had had the photo for 3 years and only shown it now. Make up your own minds folks but looks doubtful to me.
